Can group assignments be scrapped😪?

"No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper…"

That's the only reason why I believe group assignments will not kill me because I know it's a weapon fashioned against me. I also know I don't like school and all, but can we just scrap group assignments?

Because... Should we talk about the stress that comes with it? Or how other group members would ghost you? Or how some people don't want to do anything but want their names added? Oh, they only want to pay and find their names on the submission list. (Pẹlẹ o, Dangote).

By the way, I couldn't write to you last week because I wasn't mentally stable enough to do so. (Yes, it's what you're thinking). That's why I asked my friend, Lola, to write to you because I know you would be expecting to hear from me.

Anyway, if there's anything, the world will continue despite whatever you're going through. So I had to obey Faith Enang and show up regardless. Talking about showing up, does one need to show up for group assignments, ehn?

One thing I've learnt about group assignments is that the outside world is built that way. I hate to be a supporter of these lecturers, but these group assignments are building you for the outside world.

When I was interning at Splash FM, we(the interns) were asked to cover an event, and I still had a sports show to air that day. My supposed partner wasn't around, so I had to do everything alone.

I finished my Sports show and went to the event scene, one thing led to another and I was illegally arrested by the police. They had beaten me, and thrown me in a cell with other offenders before knowing I was a reporter, (after knowing, they still beat me o, but that's a story for another day).

Now, if my partner had been around and followed me, we'd have easily explained or she could have informed them earlier at the office about my arrest. I've forgiven her don't worry.😂

Same with group assignments. I know you're brilliant and you can do them on your own. But in the outside world, you'd be assigned with a teammate, yes, that particular one you don't like, that one that's so nonchalant, or the one that'd not deliver on time. I mean, aren't these the people they always pair you with in group assignments?

No matter who they pair you with, you have to deliver, with little to no excuse. So, learn to manage them till it's over, I'm kidding it won't be over.😂
