May was a rollercoaster…
Open to find out why (plus an exclusive announcement)
My friend...
What was the first thing that came to your mind when you saw NLC/ASUU trending today?
For me, I was like… "God please, not again😩"
I mean, I was already doing a countdown to my last days at UNILAG. Now it seems I'll start again.
But amidst all these, you still deserve to know how May treated MCSA.
You see my friend, one word to best describe May would be rollercoaster! The good and the bad happened in their measures. In fact, at one point, I was feeling as though the days in May were more than 31. Nonetheless, the good outweighed the bad and we can only give thanks to GOD.
As for MCSA, I'd say May was awesome for us, we started with a win and ended with another.

We started the month with a win at the maiden edition of the Faculty Debate-The Podium, where Waliyah and Makinde made us proud by emerging first in the competition. As if that wasn't enough, Makinde also became the winner of the King of Tongues Challenge at the same competition. Double bang for MCSA!
We went on to celebrate our win at the beach hangout, where most of us had the fun of our lives. I mean, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. By the way, don't forget our mantra, "What happens in Elegushi stays in Elegushi."🌚
Anyway, it was as if the lecturers weren't happy with our enjoyment at the beach. Because tell me why we were bombarded with a series of group assignments immediately after we came back.😔 I mean, I'd rather see Samstix fall on his knees at Yaba than do group assignments.🤧
But as you know, MCSA never gives up. 😂🔥 We went on to organize the maiden edition of the writing competition- THE PEN CHRONICLES!🥳 Since this is a safe space, let me say this. I told all the winners of this competition when I was presenting their awards that they'd give me a percentage of their money. Till now, none of them gave me my share.😑 If not for JESUS, I'd have fought them.
As our mantra says, (I'm sure you don't even know the mantra, lmao). Well, as Value Driven Communicators that we are, we went from Pen Chronicles to MCSA Scholarship Workshop and that was really eye-opening. Let me add this, it was that day I knew I was the only one who love my country. You mean, all the people that came that day want to travel out in the name of scholarships? Omoooo.😒
Now was that all? Of course NO!!!!! We have made HISTORY!!! You won't know how happy I am to see our men and women football team get gold at the Dean's Cup. Apart from the fact that it hasn't happened before, it happened under my administration.😌 Thank you JESUS!
Special Kudos and shout-out to the whole male and female team, they're the real MVPs.
NOW WHAT DOES JUNE HAVE FOR US?
Normally, after all we did last month we would've stopped to rest but no! What would happen to our steeze if we don't continue serving you like we promised?
And on that note, I present to you: MCSA WORKSHOP!🤩
I know you've seen it on Instagram and the WhatsApp Announcement channel, but if you've not joined any of those skill acquisition programs, I don't know what else to say to you.
That's not a threat, but find one, join, and Skill up! my friend🫵
We'd also be wrapping this workshop with another seminar organized by my welfare unit and I'd send out details about it later.
Now tell me, how was May for you, my friend?
