Hey friend,
Welcome to the month of December, the month of festivities and (online activities for the regular UNILAG student) more physical activities for MCSAites and LIS students! Whoosh!
I know you’re already excited but hold on…let’s get the important info you mustn’t miss all laid out before I spill any tea:
The student portal is now reopened. Those who couldn't register their courses before can register now.
Please be sure and verify the course codes from your class reps before you register.
NB: Ensure you download your course registration form as soon as you’re done selecting your courses.
Payment for MCSA Dues has commenced. Your MCSA Dues helps us sustain a vibrant association by providing you with events, and undertaking projects that improve your experience as a student.
Freshers pay 6,000 Naira while Staylites pay 3,000 Naira. Same applies to LIS and ICE Students.
Our Freshers will join us this week as their registration officially commences today.
Did someone in Year 2 say something like, “Finally, someone will take over as the bloody fresher” 😂 Yeah, but you’re still fresh out of Year 1 though 😉, you never really see anything 👍
Talking about experience, let’s get to the tea ☺️
Put a finger up if you went out in the month of November
Put another one up if MCSA took you out in November
Another one up if you either enjoyed freeride or received transport allowance from MCSA 😌
Now put another one up if you had fun/learnt something at any of those events.
If you don’t have a finger up at all, I want you to stand up quickly, run to the closest mirror, look at yourself in the eye and say, “Where were me??!!” cosss
Now, go back, sit down and read the final instruction:
Put a finger up if you’ll attend the next series of physical events that MCSA will bring in December.
Very good 👍
Cause we’ve got many of such planned already.

Top on the list is a program themed, “The Nigerian Factor”
Take a minute,
Imagine a chill evening at a park with your friends are gathered… there are media moguls seated to your left and right, and you’re having an insightful conversation about Nigeria.
Not the usual banter that ends with anger and sadness
But one where speakers are armed with the right information as knowledge and facts flow freely from mouth to ears…
That is what “The Nigerian Factor” is about.
To kick of this project, MCSA is collaborating with IPOSU Communications and Lagos Talks 91.3 FM to bring you the maiden edition of The Nigerian Factor

After The Nigerian Factor, there’s another event from the 8th to 10th where we’ll learn about our rights and liberties (details are on the MCSA announcement GC).
I want to say more but I’ve got to go prepare for my speech at the Nigerian Factor event
(Ooops…I forgot to mention that I’ll be speaking in the presence of a Deputy Governor… maybe I’m shy 🙈 🤭)
Okay okay, you’ve come this far, friend, now go to Instagram and make that post.
What season of cheer without money? 😉 💵
Till I write again,
